A shy guy needs a little help.......?

The best thing to do is just tell her. It might work, it might not. This sort of happened between me and someone I knew. I liked him since freshman year and this year as a sophomore I finally told my friend who was friends with him that I liked him. A few weeks later she texts me asking if I wanted his number, I said yes and we got along and said hi every once in awhile in our German class. One day I texted him and asked him if I could tell him something. I told him that I liked him and he said he wasn't really looking for anything. I said fine and later that night he asked if I wanted to be friends with benefits. I didn't say no but I didn't say yes. We stopped talking. I'm glad I told him though because I didn't want the feeling to last and I would have never known what he was really like. So, the best thing to do is just ask to talk to her, facebook if you like, and tell her. The worst that can happen is that she doesn't like you back. So just go for it and tell her!
