Best motorcycle for.......?

Hi there. I was wondeirng what's the best motorcycle for long rides, but still has good gasmileage. I'm about 6' and 190 pounds. I just want something that's good. I'm not looking for a 200mph bike or anyhting, but fast enough to go on the high way without maxing out the bike (however I'm not saying I don't want a bike that can go taht fast, but I'm just pointing out that that's not what I'm aiming for). I don't really care what kind of motorcycle it is. Also something that isn't overpriced... I don't wanna sound like a cheap guy, but I'm low on money and I'm only 17 years old.
